Hey!

I've some steam keys I don't need and I'd like to give them to the DROD community.

The games are:
- Portal
- BIT.TRIP Beat
- BIT.TRIP Runner
- Frozen Synapse
- Contraption Maker

Rules are, 1 person, 1 game. First come, first serve. I'll take a look at rank points to prevent multiple accounts for the same person.

Good luck! :)

I already have Frozen Synapse, just want to recommend it. It's one of my favorite strategy games in recent years.

That's so generous of you! :D

I would like to play Contraption Maker if no one has asked for it yet. I remember enjoying TIM a lot when I was a kid.

I also have some steam keys I got from bundles which contained games I already owned. I'll post them later!

I'll try BIT.TRIP Beat, and BIT.TRIP Runner.

The games seem interesting to me, and I'm dead broke.

I'll ask for the Bastion key, since I've heard good things about the gameplay (and of course the legendary narration).

E-mail: <redacted, just e-mail me from my profile or send me a PM>

Wow, there are some gems in that list. Can I please have Monaco?

I don't have much in the way of codes lying around, but I do have a copy of Torchlight on GOG if anyone wants a Diablo-type thing.

4 gone! The games are going fast... which I guess is good. :)

Btw, I don't think I need e-mails to give the games away since I can give you the steam activation code or an activation link. So you don't need to post it (which I am guessing it's a bad thing because of spam robots or something).

Fez is a great game. Full of puzzles, though not necessarily the fair kind. It's easy on the twitchy gameplay too. So I figure DROD people would like it. Similar kind of story as Flatland (Edwin Abbot).

The music is fantastic. I hired the same composer (Rich Vreeland) to do the title theme and other music for Machine Court.

There are awe-inspiring moments in that game. When you finally beat the game, hit pause, turn off all the lights, sit back comfy on your couch, and only then... unpause.

Yes, I think Fez is one of the best games I have played in a while, and one of the few I have completed 100% (with some Google help, of course...).

The attention to detail and internal consistency of some indie games make them much more enjoyable than the majority of AAA games I have played.

I am not saying that indie games are better than AAA games. There's too many of them to have good and bad games in probably the same proportion. It's just that I usually get a lot more enjoyment/immersion/connection in a small indie game that someone has recommended me [The Swapper, Gone home, Brothers, Nihilumbra] than from big titles with large Metacritic scores [The last of us, Uncharted, Tomb Raider]...

Speaking of Machine Court... I used to enjoy the podcast a lot, but I stopped when I had to write my thesis... I should get around to downloading the rest of episodes. Are you still doing it?

Me too. I bought a new XBox 360 instead of an XBox One because of all the indie games on Xbox Live.

Glad to hear you got into it. Machine Court's on hiatus while I am working on an animated version of it, but the last 24 episodes are up there for download.

209.4% and done.

That was an awesome, awesome game - thanks Bombadil! The second half reminded me a bit of La Mulana, with no hand-holding and a great feeling when you discovered something on your own. (Of course, Google was too tempting for some of the harder ones).
