Timeclones are fun, but they're not the answer to everything.

If you've already spotted that... monsters move towards the closest timeclone. So the strategy is to fight the horde with one clone, then keep the other well out of the way, so that the monsters will behave exactly the same.

The other thing to be careful of here is not getting in the way of your earlier self at any point; throwing your temp's fighting moves out of sync with the spawning cycle will lead to disaster.

In particular, take care when stepping off the temporal token when your temporal buddy is first around.

You've already discovered that if you step the wrong way, then death by sword follows immediately.

However, if you step the wrong *other* way, your temporal clone gets out of sync by one move: I didn't notice this at first and it blocked me for awhile.

I find stepping off the token on diagonals gives me the most space.

Why are you trying to force the clone onto the arrows? Time clones can walk through them just fine on their own, you don't have to get anywhere near them. In fact staying far away from the clone is a good idea in this room... you don't want to distract any roaches.

In fact, the easy way to do this room is

Anything beyond those rusty yellow doors I should be aware of, or are those just decor?

There's nothing there that you can access just yet. You'll get to the room past those doors a little bit later on.

Is that for the past version of this room, or the present one? Because I know this level has that time travel thingy.

It's a soft point of no return. Just move on to Chronometric Sanctum, you'll be able to backtrack later on.
