don't know how the resonator is there

At some point on this level you'll gain the ability to interact with resonators. Just clear the rooms without resonators for now.

but how do you clear the lower trapdoors? the resonator only restores 2 of the three trapdoors

Help please...I am using an iMac .I triry to use the command key as special command to activate the resonator.It does not work.

You can check your keybindings in the in-game options from the title menu.

By default, the command key is the decimal point on your numpad. "command" is the in-game name for it, not the keyboard button, just like how numpad-5 is the "wait key"

For some reason the decimal point on the number keypad does not do it.Indeed it is listed in the command list.But nothing happens

Is it doing the same thing as waiting, or is nothing happening at all?

If it's the former, it's working but you haven't picked up the Temporal Tuning Fork yet.
