icon Feature request - undoing a mod (+2)
After accidentally modding a post +1, I mod it -1. This should restore both mod points to my total, but instead it uses up both.

(Un)fortunately we don't store the information who modded what post and how anywhere in the database, so each mod up/down is irreversible. No plans to change that, so sorry, can't do.

Besides what skell has mentioned, it's also very exploitable if this feature had existed, because +1 and -1 mods have side effects as well, so they cannot cancel each other. (There was a discussion about this years ago, but it seems it's still relevant.)

As this is a site for a puzzle game, I'd leave a puzzle here: How would you get infinite rank points if you have 2 mod points and a secondary account, if this feature actually had existed? :)

I know where this is coming from,
I understand it's not that easy to implement,
and for me it's not that important that you can undo a "+1" / "-1"
but on smartphones it happens you accidentaly hit the good/bad button,
due to the small screen and your (big) fingers.

"+1" isn't that bad, but accidentaly hit "-1" ...
but there are admins enough to help you fix this "-1" ;)

Another option would be having to confirm all mods using a yes/no dialog box. This way you dont have to remember who made a mod and theres no problem with spending a mod point followed by undoing the mod that gave that mod point.

But doesn't it remember that you made a mod while you're on that page? If I hit 'Good' twice, a little +2 will be beside the bigger (+2) that stays.

It probably does, but that doesnt let you roll back the change on the server because its easy enough to spoof.

I'm 99% certain that's purely a browser-side script. Notice that if you refresh the page, it goes away.
