OK, so 3S came down to a fact about DROD I didn't know. Somehow I can't imagine 4S doing the same unless that fact is "if you enter the Konami code you can take control of a guard, clone potion style". It's just stark impossibility layered on stark impossibility.

It's impossible to light the fuse or have the guard light the fuse. It's impossible to have the guard hit the bomb with his sword. Even if you could somehow trigger the bomb, it would still be impossible to kill the brain unless you could somehow manoeuvre the guard into the same column as the yellow gate "airlock" when the bomb went off.

I don't want to ask for a demo, because I can see how much work must have gone into the puzzle. But I think I may need an anvil-sized hint. TSS has officially broken my brain - I hope you're happy! :P

I can step on the fuse, but I have no idea how to position the guard after that.

Er, how are trapdoors useful in this case? Stopping the fuse isn't desirable as there's no way to start it again.

After hitting the fuse, there's no time to drop all those trapdoors.
Before hitting the fuse, going to the trapdoor area would move the guard from his plate.

You don't need to drop any trapdoors. Just maneuver around the guard in a way that he's not in bomb range.

Pinnacle's hints pretty well covered what you needed to do to step on the fuse.

This will be rather explicit.
