i can't figure out how to get the west baby without either blocking myself in or the mimic, the trapdoors to the east will cause the baby to hit the pressure plate, which i don't want, and that's the only way i see to get it down so i could potentially kill him

prob blind, but i don't see how to do it, i assume the mimic has to push me, and there's only one way i can see to do that, which would be me moving diagonally onto the arrow, and then he would have to push me diagonally again........but no matter what i try it doesn't work

then i think i'm totally lost , you have to go on the path to lure tar baby out, and only you or the mimic can go on it, not both, and once you're on it, you don't have enough time to get back off and up before tar baby triggers plate.

aw, doh, don't know why that gave me so much trouble , now to figure out how to clear out that barrel, cause i think that's the solution to the next part.......well partly right, lmao, but not the barrel i thought. moving on

Ok, I'm sure I'm going to figure this out as soon as I post (or feel really stupid when someone provides the hint I need), but I'm stumped on getting back from this room. To be clear, I've cleared 6E, and I'm trying to rejoin the main part of the level.


What obvious thing am I missing?

PS - not every secret room in the game can be completed in a single run-through, though this isn't one of them.

That level almost put me off playing the game. In fact, if the game is going to get more difficult as it goes on, I may well have reached my limit.

I thought Shattered Mine was one of the very hardest levels. It was odd that it appeared so early in the game.

I concur: especially the two secret rooms. There's another tough level much later, but it's obvious that it's a finale of sorts.

Bandit1200, Don't stop now, for sure, remember when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

And now you are going, it gets slightly less tough, really.

I wouldn't go that far. It's hard for an early-game level, but overall I wouldn't even put it in the top 10. Even among just required levels, TA, EoTS, EoA and RF make it look easy in comparison, and most of the others (aside from obvious breather levels) are at least comparable. The reason it seems harder is because everything leading up to it (with a few isolated exceptions) is fairly easy.

I found it unfair for a couple of reasons. One, it requires you to understand at least three new elements (kegs, pickaxes, and double-pushing) and use them together, even though the third of those was never explained or introduced anywhere before it's needed to solve a required room.

Also, that room (I think it was 1E) where you needed to use a trapdoor as a "trick" to push enough kegs off the platform was just downright mean.

Could someone please post a demo for this room. I'm going back doing
all the secret rooms that I missed and I'm still no further ahead
as I was when I tried this room months ago. This is an extremely
