I got the northern two rather easily. But the other two aren't coming along so nicely.

Now I'm stuck here. I managed to get through the other room that looks a bit like this one, but I'm totally unable to even fit a single tar baby up one of the passages. One always gets in the way, or dies because I can't space them out like I apparently need to.

This room is much simpler than the other, actually. You've chosen too difficult way.

I'm having difficulty getting the roach into the SW section. I've got Beethro on the lower safe spot and the roach on the upper one. Am I heading in the right direction?

Yes.

Which way are you facing? If you're facing North when you and the roach are on the safe spots on a multiple of 10, then you can certainly get the roach onto the arrows and retreat to the safe spot in the next 10 moves. The first move should be

Remember that you don't have to push the roach onto the pressure plate -- onto the arrows is enough. It can walk the last step by itself.

Yes. If you're hitting those spots just as the spikes come up you have enough time to shove the baby onto the arrows and return to the lower safe spot again in time to avoid the spikes.

I guess you could say I mis-typed, I actually had Beethro above the roach. I haven't managed to get him below the roach yet, which is what I had been aiming for, unsuccessfully. I'm still struggling, but at least I know which way I should be going.

I'll sleep on it, it bedtime here. I wonder if my dreams will be turn based as they used to be years ago when I played DROD for hours on end?:)
