There are huge clues repeated all over that level on where the secrets are... including in that room you mention.

There are indeed but that only gets you two in addition to the crucial one mentioned above. So where's the other one?

i've already been through and beaten this level, but now i've been back and asked a question (think i'm towards the end of the game) at the holding vats, which opened up a lonely campsite, and added questions to this level (and rooted hub). but I'm clueless what to do now. do i wait things out at the campsite? or is there something i need to do here and at rooted hub? i've wandered back through the levels, but don't see anything new?

If you want to see an ending, wait at the campsite. If you want a better ending, it begins with chasing down those question marks; as far as Seeding Grounds goes, you're looking for a secret room (hints to which are earlier in this thread).

I have going round and round and cannot advance. Found only one brokem wall that does not go anywhere.I turn on every beacon but nothing.

Your goal is to hit the beacon in the southeast chamber of 1N, which will unclear the room. Then return to 1N and cross the open green door before clearing it.

There's a blue door not far after, so make sure you clear all the other rooms before coming back to 1N.
