So I can take them out, with the barrel to the right. I think the problem is that the only way to be safe is to sacrifice the barrel to the south. And I can now solve the room, but can't get out because of the chains in the way...

Hi! I can't seem to find a way to get around the Gentryii without getting myself killed or losing a necessary keg (Ex...) any tips?

That's what I thought at first, but now I can't kill the puffs, because I can't get back up to lead them over to the keg trapped in the crumbly wall. If I leave the puff alive, I end up being unable to manipulate the Gentryii in such a way that lets me escape... I'm confused...

Yellow just means that it's a bonus level. Its colour won't change after beating it. As long as there's a flag over the level and you've got all the secrets/items from it, there isn't anything else to do there.
