I'm posting here purely to reiterate that this is an absolutely amazing puzzle, and you should on no account spoil yourself on it. I got the first two parts myself (although the second part took a lot longer than the first). I came here for a hint on the third, and ended up working that out myself as well. I'm very glad I did!

It just sucks that the other rooms on this level depend on this, and this is the first room that people aren't really giving hints on. Does the third one also have a hint in another room?

For the record, I do not like this one.

The best I've gotten is to the attached picture. I can get in and out, but can't get it back. Though this is the first time I've gotten back out.

I'm posting here purely to stress that, while the puzzle may or may not be amazing*, you should feel free to ask for hints if you're stuck. Because, seriously, this game is supposed to be fun, and if you're not having fun on the room, get hints and get past it. I did, and I don't think I particularly regret it at all.

*The puzzle was fine. Not particularly amazing, IMHO, but perfectly fine. And anyway, you can admire the puzzle construction just as much whether you solve it with hints or without.

I got the second orb, and I loved it. However, I have been staring at my screen for almost an hour and can't see how to get third door to toggle in such a way that I can get in and out and still have the Lemming come back across the river. Can someone give me at least the coordinates of one mirror for the final trip across?

Which does what I want in one way, except that the Lemming crosses the plate for the second time way before I get back to the first door... other than that, I can't seem to find a way of rebounding it. Is my assumption correct that the Lemming

If my assumption is incorrect, then I am completely stuck.

EDIT: sorry got the coordinates wrong. I fixed them

I am going to have to grovel here... I can't even do the trapdoor (well, I can drop it but end up trapped cos the lemming can't come back).

Can anyone take pity with a hint? (I'm ill in bed with a middle ear infection that means I can't stand up; my internet bandwidth has gone to under 100K (not unusual in the darkest midlands of the UK) which means web pages load when I'm lucky; and bbc iplayer is broken: my Dad was right, never grow old...) At least the cat is enjoying a warm bed all day. TSS has been getting me through the boredom for three days, but I'm really stuck and miserable now, as well as ill ...yet I can sort of see why people rave about this room! I have read the hints, redone the level three times... brain is sick now/

I had lots of ideas, can drop the trapdoor in at least three ways, but always get stuck... need a hint.

So, you need to find a path for the lemming that lets him push the raft, traverse the lowest pressure plate twice (separated by at least twelve turns) and come back. The lemming must end up moving west, which suggests that you shouldTo get the lemming moving west in that row, he must face south and hit an obstacle he can't move in the row below. Does that tell you where to place both mirrors?

This has me stumped. I can't get the raft back to alter the mirrors, but it feels like I would NEED to alter the mirrors to progress into ANY of the other corridors.

Sounds like you're on the first part of the room (dropping the trapdoor). Then yes, you need to get the raft back so you can continue to the next part. For a hint, see my post a few posts up.
