Here we go. When designing polls with timed limits, you may click on it to end in September. What would happen if we set it to end on the 31st of September?

As the poem goes

30 days past September
April, June and November.

If someone accidently did this, what would happen? And what about leap years? We should fix this.

It would end up on the 1st of October. I really didn't want to bother with Javascript to change the number of available days depending on which month you clicked.

I believe it's 'hath', not 'past', but hey.

Nothing bad would happen. If you set it to X days after the end of month, it will expire on the Xth day of the next month. So if you picked Feb. 31st on a non-leap year, it will expire on March 3rd. March 2nd if it is a leap year.

Why does everyone use a poem when you can use an accurate, easy to remember method?

Make a fist. Look at your knuckles. The first knuckle's January, first valley's Februrary. Each month is either a knuckle (31 days) or a ridge (30 or less). When you run out of hand, you start again.

Simple. Unless you have less than four knuckles.
