What's the goal here?
It seems that I need the mimic to be at row 18 when cutting the tar blog (not sure if I need to be with him or somewhere else).

This seems impossible: to get this, I need to move diagonally (SW), when mimic is at 21-17 (or SE when it's at 17-17)
i.e., moving from 18-14 to 19-13 when it's at 21-17.

but mimic cannot stay more than a turn at 21-17 without frying.

so, it's my initial guess wrong?

mmm still don't get it
my sword should point NW (or N, or NE) when I cut blob at 19-17
mimic sword will point at same direction at that point.
to help me mimic should be on 21-17 hot plate, meaning that it will die when i cut the blob
