I disagree. You could eat hot dogs every breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack of your life.

Of course, if you did that, your lifetime might be shorter than otherwise.

Here's one in a similar vein:

Time Sonnet

The clock keeps more than time, counts more than hours ;
Routine is glumly stressed with each dull note.
Each tick precedes the tock that it empowers
To hasten on our live’s soon-ended rote.

Uncertainty and fate click in alliance
To tangle us within the Norn’s coarse rope.
The pendulum allows us no defiance;
No halting of the swing, to give us hope

Of slowing down the pace. We’re left to cower
Hoping useless hope in choiceless places.
Our lot - our best - a realisation sour:
The paradox of movement breeding stasis.

Perceiving all at once (a glimpse divine?):

I like it Sounds very Poe-ish (?)

My poem is my own - was looking to create a claustrophobic passing of time using stacatto/alliteration. The ephemeral nature of time itself is captured in the decreasing stanza length precipitating the feeling of the inevitable.

That was my experimental approach to this piece in any case Hope you like it
