I'm overloaded with junk and it won't let me eat anything more. Is there a way to dump equipment that I don't want? I've got two picks thanks to Draugs and I'd like to toss one of them.

If this was mentioned in the manual I've missed it.

I know about storing items, but I'm in the middle of Svartalfheim at the moment.

No, there is no option to drop items. This is to prevent dead ends and to keep the player from dropping things she may need later. Since the drop command shouldn't work on most items you're carrying anyway, we decided to leave it out.
