More news! Some testers have played through the demo version. There are about a dozen minor issues reported so far to fix. Should be pretty easy to resolve.

Eh, j/k. Man...it's hard to line up a date that satisfies everyone perfectly, or even optimally . That seems to be an NP-complete problem.

It would have been nice to release on the eighth. But, since that date is already here and we're not quite ready, and I don't think we need to wait another month, I'm thinking scheduling to release sometime mid-June is realistic in any event. No magic dates, I guess.

Well that's just depending on how obtuse you want the magic date to be.

June 11th, you could get 6+1+1=8. Push it back a day to the 12th, and you could add in the year to the mix to get a second 8.

Trick brought something to my attention that I should probably keep in mind. Since this week is E3, if we distribute a PR this week, it would probably be drowned out by all of the E3-related news. If the game is ready this week, we could potentially release it to those who have already pre-ordered, but not send out PR for an "official" release until a more opportune date when more potential players would pay attention to the news. Like, maybe, the second-half of June, after E3 but before the Steam summer sale hits.

I've actually held off on preordering even if I should have done so, since I've had a lot of business lately. However, I realize that the game comes with a month of CaravelNet; will it be activated when I preorder, or when the game is released?

The bonus CaravelNet will be activated when you actually register your order to your Caravel user account. So, you can hold onto your pre-order registration link until that time. However, I'd suggest you not wait, cause Schik said he'll give another month of CaravelNet to everyone that pre-ordered on the date the game is released here.
