I havent played the room, but by the looks of it, assuming that the orb toggles all the yellow doors, and remembering the corresponding room in the original KDD

You can only get to the roach if it reaches the place marked as 1 in this picture. However, the roach will get stuck on the force arrows at 2 once you hit the orb, and you wont be able to get it to 1. So how do you stop that from happening?

×Well, the roach wont get stuck if you hit the orb again right after you do it the first time. The door at 2 will close, and the roach will stay in the column between the arrows, specifically at point 3. But its still quite far from 1, and the next time you hit the orb, the roach will surely make one more step and trap itself anyway

×Except if you guide it off the door back into the rightmost column of arrows, by going to the specially marked tile two squares above 1. The roach will then move to the tile two squares to right of 2. So the roach is now two squares closer to its goal.
All thats left is to repeat the same steps until the roach is at 1, at which point you can kill it (provided that you drop all trapdoors).

×So the general idea is: you need to make several trips through the trapdoor area, each time getting to the orb and out. When you reach the orb, hit it two times on two consecutive turns. After each trip, stand at the specially marked tile to guide the roach off the big door. Plan your trips so that they result in dropping all the trapdoors, and then youll be able to reach the roach, which at that point will be at 1.
