I'm in Eitri's house (playing as a warrior with the stealth skill), and the door is gone. I can only find one way to leave:

But I'm wondering if that is going to affect my honor. Is there another way out?

I would imagine that it's not very honorable. Just do everything that the messages ask. For example, when it says "Eitri invites you to look at object X", look at that object. If you're getting impatient, just look at everything before waiting for each prompting message.
