I think I might have loaded DROD twice at once, and after I closed both screens, I can't get back into the game. The music will start, a window starts forming, and then it kicks me back to the desktop.

I tried running it in compatibility mode, with admin rights, and it runs with both. However, I was almost finished with level 17, and when I run it in those modes, I am taken back to level 3. I really have no interest in going from 3 to 17 again.

Which DROD version are you running, and what OS are you on?

I'm running windows 7. It's DROD Architects' Edition like I said in the subject... version 1.6.7 maybe?

AE stores a backup save file.

When you're taken back to level 3, are the rooms still cleared, or are they monster-infested again?

If I remember right, in AE, you could load your game at any room you'd cleared instead of fixed save-files. Can you reload from level 16?

Is there anything in drod.err?

Had you beat levels 4-16 without closing DROD?
