The topic title says it all... :)

I would be nice if you could make it so that hidden files/directories (those that begin with a .) aren't shown in the DROD file dialog(s) (or you should at least be able to choose if you want to see them or not).

Are you able to do this already? If so, how?

Way ahead of you ;) . There will be a checkbox to toggle showing of hidden files in DROD 2.0 (and as for 1.6, that depends... maybe). This is top secret information, of course, so don't tell anyone.
