I'm stuck here - the post above helped with one of the things I was stumped on, but I still haven't figured out what to do with the roaches.

I can use them to kill the snakes, but when I hit the orb to let them out, I can't find a way to kill even one without dying. This applies whether I keep the brain alive or not, or whether I try to lure the guard into the area.

It would be great if I could get the guard to hit the orb, but I haven't found any way to do that. And I don't think I can somehow bait him into blocking the snakes.

What am I missing?
