Can anyone give a hint. I am Jax and think I need to be Lucas?

I can get to the roach but if I step on the arrow I am stuck
How can I use the lazer to kill the roach

I'm a little confused, as this is nowhere near the last room in Level Eight.

I won't secret the main hint because I think it's far too obvious. The only thing you have access to is a box, so you have to use it to affect when the balls hit their orbs (it will shorten an orb's movement path and change its sync with the others). If all the doors are open at the same time the ray will strike the roach.
