I am the only one having problems here, I have killed all the critters other than the three rock golems down in the little enclosure on the bottom left, I realise I need the waithring to help out and can kill one of them no problems but it is the positioning of the other two that I can't get to work, any help on where to kill the first guy or where to position the other two and the helper to get them out.

Well, I was going to insert an image to explain all this, but as my subscription has expired, I'm not allowed to see the rooms that I paid for anymore.

So, in words: There are two squares in the 3x3 region with the golems that you can step on. Which one are you going to use as an entry after killing the first golem?

Well, where are you going to kill the second golem?

This and 1E are my last remaining rooms in the entire hold.
The problem is, I can't find a way to do that.

So, two questions: (1) is my approach correct, or have I made some wrong assumptions or wrong moves? (2) If I am right, what are the moves that will allow me to do what I'm trying to do? I probably need pretty precise instructions, as I've already tried a lot of distances and sword orientations without success.

This room is the sort of puzzle I enjoy in general, but I'm finding myself unable to move beyond this point, after about a week (off and on) of trying.

Your approach to the north-eastern cubicle seems correct. I think the best way to explain it is with a demo; so here’s a partial demo showing how to maneuver the wraithwing.

Thank you very much indeed! That proved to be the key. (I had tried things like it already, but not that exact combination of moves toward the end, and there seems to be a very narrow band of moves that lead in the right direction.)

I have now finished the room. Only 1E remains for me in the entire hold!

Hello! Can you help me please? I can’t kill last three rock golems on the bottom left. I read the thread but still couldn’t figure it out. I kill the first golem on 8,27 and then I put the wraithwing there and we’re moving and moving and I can’t find the right position. Help, please. I killed all other monsters in the room.

How do I go about freeing the Wraithwing, and then using it to kill the Evil Eyes that contained it?

I think if you download the demo version of GatEB, you can use that to play demos made with newer editions, but I haven't tested it myself.

Thanks for your demo Kalin, that Wraithwing thing is hard to control.
Turns out the demo version of GatEB is also 4.0.2 so no luck there...
