Just to point out that the FAQ still says that your rank is based on the number of posts you make, with no explanation of rank points/mod points.

I'm sure you know this already Matt, but just in case it escaped your attention...

Oh, yeah... I thought I had uploaded a version that was vaguely accurate. I've got a rather large half-done rewrite gathering dust on my harddrive, so I'll upload that when that's done.

Okay, the FAQ 2.0 is done. I've added all the work Matt's done since it was last done, gotten rid of some jokes that weren't working, added new things, made a whole list of in-jokes people might like to know (wondering about ketchup and puppies? Now you know!) and added some things that should have been in there long ago.

Cool. The FAQ is looking immaculate.

Brittany had asked me the other day what rank points were. I said, "read the FAQ! Mattcrampy wrote the FAQ to answer questions just like that one. You will find everything in the FAQ!" And she got mad at me that despite sitting right next to her, I wouldn't give a simple answer. Still, I insisted she read the FAQ. When the information she found about ranks was outdated, I felt... ashamed. But now everything has been set right, and I can tell Brittany to read the FAQ again.
