I'm not quite getting this room.

×I've figured out the trick to easily manipulating the serpent:

×Switching to a clone and hiding in the shallow water until the preference is what I want it to be.
But I can't get its head going too far east or west that way - unless I block it, of course, but I have limited options for doing that.
I can get Beethro entirely surrounded, but that doesn't really help because it makes the horn not work at all. What do I want the serpent's position to look like when I grab the horn, and are there any particular tricks to getting it in that position?
Edit: H&S effect finally kicked in.

×The big trick is to get to the right of the serpent's head with the Beethro in the middle, then only have him active when it's moving horizontally. You want to create a rectangle with one corner in the upper-right open (if you're on the north, lower-right if you're on the south), and you want all five tiles in front of the north/south passageway to be covered.
When the serpent's one east of the last tile you want to block, switch to a clone and hide until the preference is vertical. You then have two turns to get Beethro one northeast of the horn; the last clone appears before the serpent moves.
