Oh dear.. I put in a recent pre-order for GatEB, and it seemed to go through OK, but today I received an e-mail saying that the order was "queued for manual review and declined".

I phoned the bank and they confirmed they hadn't denied any such transaction, so I'm awaiting an explanation from BMT Micro as to what happened. I've re-placed the order, though. Has anyone had these problems?

Just placed an order myself - the way the review sounds like is that BMT will take extra look through orders placed with "Anonymous" emails like Hotmail. Second time around, did you try with a different email address?

It did eventually get through after I repeated my postal address to them.

However, something else strange happened too. I ordered an extra year of CaravelNet to go with the one you get anyway for pre-ordering GatEB, but when I try to activate that, I get the "membership already activated" error. The expiry date is still only 2013 when I'd expect it to be 2014.

GatEB (and all the other games) come with one month of free CaravelNet, not one year. I see both your order of GatEB and your order of CaravelNet both activated for your account... as far as I can tell, I think things worked correctly.

It is fixed - you may need to Control-F5 the page to refresh.

Otehrwise, this link should get you the one year membership as well.

I'm having trouble too. The download links BMT micro sent me seem to be for the demo game, not the full version. Either I've failed some kind of intelligence test, or they need to correct their links.

Never mind. I found the Downloads page. I may have lost a few points on that intelligence test, but I didn't fail entirely.

Ugh...it was me who failed this intelligence test. When I updated the OSX product info to 4.0.1, I uploaded the demo version instead of the full version. I'll fix that tonight.

Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place - my problem is relevant to this thread though...

I purchased DROD: Gunthro and the Epic Blunder on 1st April and received the email from BMT with the download link etc. I downloaded the game and installed without any hitches.

I have since tried to access/download the free hold (Flood Warning) from within the game and from the website - without success. I figured if I re-download my purchase and re-install I may get the hold on a fresh installation.

Well, the problem is BMT is stating that my password is blocked - despite the fact that their email states my download links are valid up until 2nd May!

Am I missing something or being stupid here?

I don't think you can get FW from BMT, you need to download it using CaravelNet, which you get for 1 month free with GatEB.

You need to activate this and get a key, which you input in the Change Settings menu of the game.

Then you can download holds in-game.

Hmm...

Thanks for the reply Jacob but I've tried this. I'm assuming I should be seeing 'Flood Warning' in the holds list but where I would expect to see it alphabetically it does not show. I see Flight of the Fegundo and the next available hold is Floor 33.

I've requested 3 new keys and activated them successfully but the result is the same.

Oh, sorry, in that case, I'm not entirely sure.

The process is also conditional on you registering GatEB under the same username as you have on the forum and for CaravelNet - is this the case?

If Schik, or some other of TPTB, sees this, he'll hopefully be able to e-mail you a download link or something.

I just had the same problem as the OP. I tried to order the new game and was told my order was declined. No real reason was given, but I suspect that it's because I've moved since the last time I placed an order. I'm currently trying to get a hold of them to see what's up.

The thing is, I've been playing since the Webfoot days, so I'm going to go to whatever trouble it takes to get the new game. One has to wonder how many customers they are turning away who won't bother to try to straighten things out.

Edit: Got the problem cleared up. I phoned them and got them to fill the order by giving them the exact same address I had entered into the webpage. Apparently it's suspicous when I type it, but taking the trouble to make a phone call must mean I'm legit.

Ive ordered the new GatEB via BMT Micro. (Wire Transfer). I sent them a Screenshot of my Online Banking Order in hope it might be processed faster.

Ugh. Got the same problem. Isn't there a service out there that doesn't do this crap? This is no way to conduct an online transaction service.

Caravel should ask BMT Micro how many transactions they've declined vs how many accepted. I bet it's unacceptably high.

Anyway. Has trying again worked for everyone so far, or do I need to call them or something?

I can see pending orders in BMT that haven't gone through yet, likely up for review. One of these was submitted by "gfezrgt rgtertg". I'm guessing this is not a real person. The other one is mailing a check. I can't see orders that have been declined.

I don't see a number to call, only an email address I can contact. What's the number?

Has Caravel investigated using Amazon Payments? This isn't a recommendation; I just know that the Humble Bundle uses them and I've never had a problem with them.
