Cannot find an arrangement of decoys to wake all the eyes.
Right now the process is one of elimination, and I've eliminated too many squares. Here's the list of assumptions, at least one of which has to be wrong someplace:

×1) There are four decoy potions.

×2) One decoy has to go in each of the following columns: 20, 23, 26, and 30.

×3) One decoy has to be placed in each of the following rows: 15, 18, and 22. Beethro can wake the eye in row 12 himself if no doors are raised there, otherwise a decoy must be placed in row 12.

4) A decoy placement at location (4) can't work because it doesn't wake the eye in that column; location (6) is not allowed for the same reason; location (5) doesn't work because it blocks both row 12 and 15 from being awakened. So a decoy must go at (30,15).

×5) Suppose a decoy is supposed to be placed in the first row of eyes. Location (1) can't work because it doesn't wake the eye in that column; location (2) is not allowed for the same reason; location (3) doesn't work because it blocks the eye in that row. So a decoy can only go at (30,12) - but since there is already a decoy in column 30, no decoy is needed and Beethro can wake the eye in this row himself.

×6) Therefore, no decoy placements can raise a door in row 12.

×7) But locations (7) and (9) raise doors in row 12... which leaves location (8). But that decoy placement doesn't wake the eye in that column, so it is also impossible.
