Thanks. Unfortunately, if I hit the plate on that turn, I still have one roach left in the lower area (21,13). I'll need to try other ways of killing the roaches faster there.

Thanks, it was the combination of your hints that got me through. And also a little "cheating" ahead of time (moving the golems downward while standing in the scroll area before entering).
