It looks like you have to keep the 5 giants so the movement order is 1-5 from bottom to top.

I'm trying to find the retreat path for this to happen, but it's been mostly trial & error so far. I'm wondering how you stumbled across it.

Well, by trying randomly(though I actually managed it quite fast, surprisingly).

Meanwhile - I found what seems to be intended way(or at least closer to it) of solving the room. So if you're having troubles with using alive golem, here's what I did in other solution:

I've spent as much time with this room as I want to. I've gotten the golems into the recommended positions but still can't get the giants to do what I need them to do. At this point I'd like a demo or an exact move sequence. Either I'm missing something that makes this somehow manageable from that position, or it's still a lot of fiddling.

Might as well just post a demo in the thread for the room after this one too while you're at it. I'm assuming it's another variation on this, and I'd rather save myself the frustration.

Yeah, there's a lot of shuffling around and move order stuff involved here. Demo is maybe the way to go. I've attached a demo for the room. I hit export all so you get 4S3E in there too in case you need it.
