Five games at pay-what-you-want pricing? YES PLEASE.

It looks like there are 4 days left to snatch this one up. The games included are World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, and Penumbra Overture.

Linux users finally discover games for their operating system, flock en masse to throw money in the hopes of receiving more.

Yeah I don't see anything unusual about this picture.

Also, when you realize how many little kids have 25 cents in their paypal accounts and are on windows basically yeah the statistics are going to be a little skewed

"Dear Humble Bundle supporter,

I have a small announcement you might be interested in. This morning, I was talking to fellow indie studio Amanita Design. They wanted to donate to the Humble Indie Bundle too -- but in a unique way. They decided to donate their award-winning, cross-platform game, Samorost 2, to the bundle! It is really a great game, and I encourage you to go download it on your updated Humble Bundle key page."

Drod anyone?

Agreed. I wasn't a great fan of the World Of Goo demo, but I was curious about Aquaria and Gish anyway - and I already bought Samorost 2... :)

Interesting that Linux users are the most generous.
Where can one find that statistic? A quick look at the download site doesn't reveal any of this information...

The Wolfire Blog mentions it, as does the bundle page itself.
(But yeah, you're right that the download site doesn't show the information.)

Well, lookie here! A new bundle!

http://www.humblebundle.com/

Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans

Not only can you pay what you want for these five games, you can also determine exactly how your payment is split up between the developers and charity.

You've got one week to snag this!

Hey Caravel! Get in on this! It's just started. You should contact them and offer up a Caravel game for free to sweeten the bundle (and agree not to take a cut of the profits). This is a pretty high profile thing and potentially a great way to get the Caravel name out there.

I've been thinking a lot recently about the first Humble Indie Bundle, and I'm definitely interested in having one of our titles appear either in the current or a future bundle. I contacted them and if I hear anything back, I'll let you all know.

If you haven't bought this bundle yet, now there's even more incentive - if you pay more than the average (currently $7.44), you will now not only get those 5 games, but also 5 games from the original Humble Bundle - World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, Penumbra Overture - plus Samorost 2 on top. Not a bad deal.

I'm just bumping this topic to say that the 3rd Humble Indie Bundle is available here: http://www.humblebundle.com/

Only 3 of the games have actually been released yet, all by Frozenbyte, but I'd still recommend getting it for Trine (quite a nice platformer imo), since you get to choose the price.

I see someone beat me to the punch here... :)

(Oddly enough, I just got done buying the new Humble Bundle and registering it on Steam to notice that the Sega Classic games collection I bought back when it was on sale on Steam got all the Sonic games added - nice! :))

I already have Trine and can't say I'm particularly interested in the others, so I dunno how I feel about this one.

I feel like bringing down the average when it's already at 1/10 retail value is not good.

I must say I'm less impressed with this bundle than the others, even though this is the first bundle that I'm buying (having owned all the ones I wanted from the others already). Seems like an attempt to get pre-orders for Splot.

+1 I also think the other bundles were much worth it.
But anyway, it's pay what you want and Trine's in there.

Have the guys at Caravel thought of "giving" any form of KDD or JtRH to the next humble bundle? I think it might be a great way to get some attention to DROD...

I second that. Perhaps either JtRH or RPG, KDD I think has too many frustrating levels, and TCB is probably too hardcore for a new player to start at.

Also, Steam. So it can be redeemable on Steam, as they like to put at the top of the Humble Bundle website.

Probably several reasons for that. I would imagine that getting steam and CaravelNet to work in conjuction would be fairly difficult.
It doesn't need to ship with CaravelNet - there are a few online retailers out there already that sell DROD without CaravelNet.

Won't get into the Steam argument though - been done too often :P

Really? I don't remember there ever being an argument. All I remember is that occasionally someone would mention the possibility and get ignored.

To summarise, DROD doesn't work with the steam overlay atm, and while it must be possible (Popcap has done it), it hasn't been implemented yet.
