ok, last room in the "simplified" versions (as time goes on I'm getting worse and worse in Drod, maybe next week I won't be able to pass KDD level 1...)

my understanding:
someone (beethro? the goblin? who else?) have to press the right pressure plate without waking up the right central eye, then it's easy: enter the the room, slash everything, push the central plate and exit.

but the first task....

what am I missing?
