I need some guide lines for placing the decoy's,
because when I try to get the 2nd decoy, the goblin allready steps on the pressure plate :?

I'm stuck near he end of this room. I'm trying to follow previous hints, but I cannot get the goblin to the end as intended - he either burns at 13,14/15,14 or (shown in the demo) turns on the pressure plate at 14,15. What I'm doing wrong?

But... if you have to place mimics to kill drones, then what's the purpose of the two goblins in the side rooms, and is it possible to kill them? Or is this an unusual example of a room which can be "beaten" while there are still living monsters in it?

The side goblins force you to put the mimics in those corridors, and therefore to solve the puzzle using the decoys.

If the side goblins weren't there, you could just burn the central goblin on a hot tile and deploy a mimic to (13,15) or (13,16) for a trivial solution.
