Now, i have to do "Search by author", then click the name, and only then go to da profile. Can't it be simplified?

Just write the username on the end of that link.. that's the simplest way.

(Which could easily be automated in something like Firefox like the wp for Wikipedia etc.)

even better, type in part of the users username into the author seach and all usernames with that set of letters will come up. Sure, multiple times, but still.

Add the person's username to the end of that link, like so:

http://forum.caravelgames.com/member.php?Action=viewprofile&username=[username]

e.g.

http://forum.caravelgames.com/member.php?Action=viewprofile&username=agaricus5

And if it was the bit about Firefox you didn't understand..

(these are for Firefox 2, hopefully 3 is similar)

Bookmarks -> Organise Bookmarks -> New bookmark

Location = http://forum.caravelgames.com/member.php?Action=viewprofile&username=%s
Keyword = drod

Then typing drod agaricus5 in the URL bar will take you to that profile.
