So do I (well I use Intrepid) and I don't have this problem.

Try disabling Compiz... I think it's under System -> Preferences -> Apperance and select the first option (no effects). I believe that's where it is but I can't check right now... either way, it's somewhere close to that.

This is not a DROD bug but a localised setup issue.

Also, when asking for help, please refrain from using caps. It really makes a plea for help more ignorable.
