What do you think the point of fusion is? Is it temperature or something else? Write (type) your opinion. Put it in secret tags to not skew other people's opinions.

Depends on the context of the words "Point of Fusion," really.

Though I've never heard those three words put together in a row, "fusion" is the scientific name for the phase change from solid to liquid (melting), so I guess the point of fusion would be the temperature at which something melts/freezes.

I'm not sure either, but I think he's talking about 2 atoms or molecules being fused, so their abilities go together in 1 new atom or molecule.

You may be right since looking up "Point of Fusion" since the top link regards some sushi place.

Point of Fusion should be regarded as Point of Boiling or Point of Freezing.

Sounds like an alternative term for the temperature at which a substance makes the transition from solid to liquid, or vice versa. This ultimately gets back to the average kinetic energy (i.e. temperature, and correlated to speed) of the molecules being greater or less than the energy required to break a molecule free from the more stable solid state. For more detail, see our resident chem prof.

Two caveats:
1. If there's room for opinion in this sort of discussion, the question needs to be stated more precisely.
2. I'm not going to help you with your science homework. :P

At an atomic level temperature is motion, so the question is kind of non-existant. Anyway you've got to have a certain energy overcoming the coulomb forces (coming close enough together for the strong force to be dominant). However the matter is complicated, since two particles have to "meet" in the first place in order to fuse.
