×Personally, I say the point of fusion is measured in speed.
Take a single atom of oxygen. Put it in a super accelerator and spin it around and around and around until it gets really stinking fast. Now, accelerate the atom into a container filled with other gasses. If you made the atom of oxygen go fast enough, you'll find you made fusion! (And maybe a destroyed lab, too.)
Now for the concept behind it.
The point of fusion is speed since you need to make the atom or molecule to go fast enough to make fusion. Simply put, measure the amount of speed necessary for an atom to fuse with another atom. If that atom isn't going fast enough, it won't fuse with another atom. If it is going fast enough, it will fuse.
Those are my thoughts on the matter. Share some of yours!
