ok I hate being the first one to ask for help in a room cause it usually means I'm missing something obvious but.... is there a trick to not being overwhemed by the wraithwrings and snake? I'm not too good with wraithwring movement but some help or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

There is a very important asymmetry to this room. Check what all the orbs do. ;)

So, Once you have got past the beginning bit without getting killed, how do you get to the mother on time and kill the snake?

Given that no one else has asked it can't be that tough but I'm feeling pretty stupid right now ...

I can kill everything, just not quickly enough to allow me to leave the room.
