When I create a character stalwart with a sword and make him attack a monster, he kills it instantly even if the character's ATK value is lower than the enemy's DEF. Is this behavior intentional or is this a bug?

That somehow always happens if you use any kind of sworded character, though I think this is a bug.

Currently, this is the intended behavior. Monsters currently don't fight battles in the same way player-enemy fights play out. Maybe in a later version we'll support monster-vs-monster fights, but currently, whenever a scripted NPC stabs a monster, he'll kill it.
