"Well, you were wrong! Dead wrong! I just oozed ashore a minute ago, having previously lived out my life so far in a submarine library just outside this fine coast of yours! Really quite astonishing wildlife you've got swimming around down there, some of it almost would've had me for lunch if I hadn't already eaten today. But yeah, I'm their experiment, you see. The scientists', not the fish, haha! Ha.. Yes, so, among other things, they designed my face to be as unlike the face of any other human being as humanly possible, using biological data gathered by their time machine, which is really quite a wonderful thing by the way, tells time precisely to the second and everything. I'm also pretty shy, so I turn invisible on photographs and such. So you can see why you must be mistaken! Fancy a biscuit, by the way? I'm afraid it might be a little soggy. I like your hat though."

"Quite true, quite true. You see, I wasn't the control group. When I conformed to human moral standards, I received newspapers and read them as a reward. The others didn't get such a reward and had no idea I even had contact with the outside world.

Anyhow, if you buy this merchandise off of me, I might be able to keep this fraud business from reaching the public. It'd be a pity if that happened, eh?"
