Using $\n$ in text variables to create newlines was a feature added to TCB, but the change apparently didn't make it over to DROD RPG. The help file explicitly states that the feature is intended to be there, so I'm posting this as a bug rather than a feature request.

(To be more explicit, if I create a text variable that contains $\n$ in, and then create a scroll to print that variable, the $\n$ is not replaced by a newline or any other substitute.)

Yes, looks like the 3.x fix didn't get copied over. I've added it for the next build.
