When you change you sword to something powerful (such as the RBS), and then attack a monster that you would die from, then continue moving and press backspace in the future, DROD gives an assertion error (I assume, I still can't find DROD.err), and freezes. The assertion error (beeping sound) continues even after DROD has been shut down. For the purposes of the monster being able to kill you, you don't have to be able to attack it (Such as a rock golem when you have low attack).
Thanks for reporting this. I think I've fixed the assertion error in a patch already, but the game still exhibits weirdness when you do this. For now, I'm going to fix this so that whenever you undo a move, if you happen to die as a result of some change in game logic since the move sequence was created, then the game will continue to undo moves until a point where you're not dead.
