Negotiations.

But, now I am back in the city and can not find where to go next. What do I do now?

Apparently my "negotiator" didn't do a goo job as I go in, stand in line, hold down the 5 key, 3 people come in behind me ... and nothing ... no movement ... so what am I doing wrong? Or what did I do wrong?

Actually, that hasn't happened yet. I'm afraid you're sending wiseoldman the wrong way, as the Naming Office won't give him a name quite yet. Negotiations take a long time, you know! And that guy at the Naming Office probably hasn't received the proper memos yet.

Beethro needs to follow up on another lead.

Everybody was wrong. We forgot that you need to go to Dugandy first. As Chaco said...

×When under the Library, the Pit thing told him to go to Dugandy.

There's an express route to Dugandy near the Library with a worker who was complaining that she didn't know where the break in the hydraulics was. Now you know - it's under the Library!

wiseoldman, Chaco is correct. You're not ready to go back to the Naming Office yet. Nothing will happen there at this point. Cutting to the front of the line in the Naming Office will get interesting much later in the game.

After you complete Interlude : Negotiations, you'll find yourself as Beethro standing in the front room of the Library. From there, you should go to:
