Now perhaps this should be added to the moderation thread, but I noticed that Loony Labyrinth has been added to the holds menu now, and that there is a +2 on the post for it for the admin... now I imagine whoever gave that +2 probably meant to give it to zzyzx(sp?) for creating such a wonderful hold and not the generic admin account.... so I was thinking that probably any +'s set for the first post in the hold should go to that person, and in addition that there shouldn't be incremental cost on the +'s if one wants to give it to the hold creator for his hold, that way if one downloads a hold and finds it really enjoyable they can reward the person... it also would be a great way other than the rankings to see what holds are really popular... for example, if you were to see a +98 under Bad Evil Restaurant, then you would know that people saw fit to spend 196 rank points to give it that ranking... just a thought.

Actually, I modded the first +1, thinking that the admin thing looked a bit lonely without any mods.

Of course, you're absolutely right that hold authors should be able to get credit for posting in the holds forum.

Note that we have a system planned for rewarding authors of holds with rank points based on user ratings and some other factors. In the future, you should see it.

Yeah, I need to get that working sometime. It's those darn "other factors" that always slow everything down.

Even if we have auto-rewards, I'd still like to make it easier for others to give a hold author some pointage. I'll work something in there.
