How come there's no way to delete PM's in the outbox, (unless I missed something), yet there's a "Reply PM"? Why would you want to reply to a PM you sent?

you wouldn't.
it's just something that someone has not done.
you can't delete something once you've sent it

Because the forum keeps one copy of each PM, and it appears both in the sender's outbox and the receiver's inbox. If the sender could delete it, then the receiver would have his PMs erased without his permission. There are ways to change that, but I don't see much worth in doing it.
yet there's a "Reply PM"? Why would you want to reply to a PM you sent?
Hmm. That's probably just there for convenience. So if you're reading through sent PMs and see a conversation you'd like to continue, you can just reply from there. Again, I don't see any worth it changing it.

I appreciate the reasoning behind doing it that way, but it still seems strange. The person I send a PM to can delete it, meaning that only I would have access to the copy, but I can't delete it, leaving me with a cluttered outbox.

I'm not trying to make a big deal of it, it just seemed odd.

I believe that if the recipient deletes it, it's gone from your outbox as well.

Sure, no problem. If some day I get really bored or frustrated with another forum change, maybe I'll do something about this. :)

One really nice feature of the outbox is that you can see if the person you sent the PM to actually read it - that doesn't bear directly on what's above but if you change the outbox, please keep this functionality.

I think that, at least, messages more than 30 days old in the outbox should be deleted.
