I found out that brains will lead serpents down diagonal passages if Beethro is at the other end, resulting in its death. Is this a known issue?

I use that all the time in holds with breakable walls, diagonals, and serpents.

Only if there is no non-diagonal alternative, right? If so, then I'm 99.9% sure it's the intended behavior.

That's what I thought, but a minute in the level editor proved me wrong.

In the attached hold, if you just wait the serpent will kill himself in the diagonal passage, but if you move east then wait the serpent will eat Beethro.
