Given the plague this has become, I saw fit to make this post its own thread. Could we please have some script that locks threads that haven't been active for some miscellaneous period of time? Recently, threads as old as 8 months without posts have been resurrected for no apparent reason whatsoever, and I know for a fact many forum regulars are getting annoyed, myself included (and that's difficult)

I don't think this is the answer. There could be very good reasons to post in old threads. Needing a less subtle hint than was given previously for a room is one obvious reason.

I think that if certain individuals are bringing up old, tired conversations for absolutely no reason, we should just try to convince them not to do that.
