CSR is right (go find her post yourself): more people need to rate holds. And I'm among them. I know I've played a lot of holds I haven't rated. If only I knew what they were...

I'd love to see something, somewhere, that tells me how I rated each hold. Perhaps on the "My Stats" tab in the High Scores page? And in fact if I could rate things from there, so much the better.

Or, if anyone has a better idea, please, suggest it.

Maybe thats how to get people to rate holds... add another scoring stat which is the # of holds you've both completed AND rated. Completed makes it a legitimate challenge and also is important so no one decides that 'here's a score *I* can lead in' and spams unplayed holds with scores.

Phil's Dungeon:
2346 downloads
25 ratings

I think part of the issue is a lot of holds (while downloaded) don't necessarily get finished.

I would put myself in this category - given a choice to play and finish the official hold(s) or home-made ones, I would tend to go for the former. Then I have an (almost) guarantee of worthwhile investment for my hard-earned free time.

No doubt many home-mades have a similar, maybe even higher quality. It's just hard to know for sure when only 25 people vote...

Yeah, but this only goes so far. For instance, looking at the list of most-conquered holds and taking three more or less at random:

Odd Jobs Novice has 191 conquerors, 23 votes.
Easy or Hard has 178 conquerors, 17 votes.
Chainsaw has 154 conquerors, 14 votes.

And that list of conquerors only counts those with CaravelNet; it's potentially higher.

So it's not just a matter of people not finishing holds and therefore not voting; plenty of people are finishing holds, and still not voting.

Hey, here's a thought: What if we took the in-game rating functionality, and put that on the end hold message screen, and/or with a link to the discussion thread as well?
