I think that Google places special importance on topic headings in message boards. Brittany's original post (which is the one that has over 1700 views) used to be in the #2 slot on Google, now it's #3 after this thread, because it's more important for the words to be next to each other instead of separated by a word ("
game"
in the case of Brittany's post).
I also just saw that for some reason your "
pragma warning"
post is #12 in page views. Sure enough, typing "
pragma warning"
into Google results in that post being the #2 item in the search results. Oh, and the #20 slot is held by the "
mp3 to wav/wav to mid"
thread, which only has a few posts in it so I doubt it really was that popular on this forum. Searching for "
mp3 to wav to mid"
puts that topic at #10 on Google, although just searching "
mp3 wav mid"
doesn't, even though Google says that it doesn't consider the "
to"
s in the search. And just searching "
wav to mid"
gets that post on page 3 of the Google search.
I wonder if someone that works at Google really likes to play DROD?
Game on,
