I've been trying to find this great game that I can remember, but not the name. Its an adventure/sokoban maze game and you control a mouse where you traverse one-room levels with stairs. There are many upgrades that will make you constantly go up and down floors just to utilize it. Examples being the fire boots/cloak the flippers (i think) and I think there was a pickaxe for getting past rocks. Gameplay and fun were excelllent. If I remember the game also utilized the object 'portals' that take you to a fixed place on the level, it doesn't even need to be another portal.

So, um, does anyone know this game?

It does sound like Tower of the Sorcerer. I haven't gotten that far, and there might be pickaxes/fire boots/flippers etc. when the dungeon goes higher up (or down, I never really figured it out).

Maybe he's talking Subterra? I think it has boots and flippers for crossing terrain tiles, and crates for the sokoban part.

No, I know Tower of the Sorcerer, but this is a game with the same maze mechanics but you control a mouse and it has cutish graphics. A hard-to-find game since it was only published on a gamemaker user's website

Uhh...oops...sorry, I glossed over the part about the mouse. Frogs and Mice is not the same as the RPG. Erik and I have been working on these projects in parallel.

Sounds cool. Please let us know the URL when you find it -- I'd love to try it.

Sure thing, one would agree upon playing the game that it is probably better than Tower of the Sorcerer if it had more levels, and that's coming from one of the game's fans. Anyways, I'll ask the people on the gamemaker forum. If I find it, i'll bump this topic with the link :)
