The blacksmith never leaves his shop. Ever. At all. Not at any point during the "raskovnik" sidequest, nor at any other time, no matter how many times I enter/leave the harbor or the shop.

Are you in chapter 5? I think that sometime then is when he leaves the shop.

Ok, try waiting until chapter 5. He doesn't necessarily appear in the harbour to coincide with the rashonivik quest. (You could solve that particular quest and he'll be there later anyway)

Ah, OK. The walkthrough seems to imply that it is somehow related to the raskovnik quest. Which would make sense, as the apprentice disappears once one completes it. Anyway, thanks; it worked.
