Alright, Samuel's dirt thing gave me an idea.

So, low walls are just like normal walls in some ways, except that you can put doubles on it, queens and tar mothers can spawn on it and wraithwings can fly to it. However, whatever gets up on it must go down. Objects can't move on other low walls, so they must get down.

If that has no sense, tell me. I'm a little crazy in the morning, sometimes.

I like it. The whole "selective obstacle" idea adds a whole new functionality with a very subtle change. I can think of a few new puzzles with it right away.

Just to clarify, in my mind it has the following properties:
* Anything can spawn on in, this means roach eggs, tarstuff babies, and in addition, tarstuff and can grow over it. Briar, too.
* It's still an obstacle as far as moving is concerned, for everyone except wraithwings.
* Seep can move over it like it was a wall.
* Gazes (of aumtlich and evil eyes) are not blocked by it.

Also, visually, I think it should connect with walls but have a different texture.

I don't think this is a good idea. Why can't you walk on something that is at the same level? (yes, I know, yellow doors) Plus, you should be able to get onto them by means of standing on a yellow door when it is toggled, and getting higher than the low wall.

Yeah, maybe not blocking gazes is too much, but the rest is good puzzle potential.
