How do I add links to my posts?

Run your cursor over those little buttons right above the Message space, in the row called UBB Code. The one with a globe and a chain link lets you insert an URL.

Or you can "Quote Reply" on someone else who has a link to see how they do it.

Perhaps this should be in the FAQ. (There's something for you to practice with.)

Game on,

If you want to do it manually, you can go {url=http://url.com/here}text{/url} where the {} are actually []

Note: unlike some other forums, you don't want to put quotes around the url

You know, you don't have to do that "the {} should actually be []" thing and confuse people. Just use [lb] and [rb] for a left and right bracket, respectively.

Using your example, you would type in:
[lb]url=http://url.com/here[rb]text[lb]/url[rb]

And it would come out:
[url=http://url.com/here]text[/url]

EDIT: That's funny, it still parses it as a URL. Which is odd, because you can still do things like [secret]. Maybe it's the "http://" that does it. Forum bug.

Funny how you can actually use the bracket codes to demonstrate how to use bracket codes. Sure looks confusing when you type it though. ;)

I knew I could do that, but I couldn't remember the code for it. Thanks.

I tried to do that too, Sokko, but it did the same thing for me. It's because the url tag is special...I had Schik look into it too and he said it's a problem with the code itself and not the forum. I didn't feel like posting my findings though.

However, that's one good reason to use the Preview Reply Message option. ;)
